Fifth Annual Great Rocky Mountain Quilt Retreat
Join us in August for John Flynn's workshops in beautiful Red Lodge, Montana at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains.
Workshops are held in our studo south of Red Lodge. This summer's workshops are August 7 - 10 and August 14 - 17. Eash session is taught by internationally known quilt lecturer, John Flynn. This year we have one session with 2 two day classes and one four day session devoted to one project. Classes are held for 6 hours each day. We furnish sewing machines. Each class is limited to 8 students and there is lots of individual attention!
Class Descriptions
Pickle Dish
Strip Piece triangular arc sections for this old favorite, also called Indian Wedding Ring. Learn John's piecing tricks.
All Stars
Choose one, two, twelve or any combination of different star designs to make a sampler or all over design - fun and easy!
Medallion Quilt
Make an elongated mariner's compass in a feathered sun; John Flynn's original prize winning design is very versatile.
Curved Borders
Learn to use border prints for interesting effects in medallion and other quilts. Add this to your repertoire!
Note: the two classes above can be combined in to one coordinated project.
Costs and Particulars
The cost for each four day session is $300. The fee covers four days of workshops, four lunches and a western barbecue on Saturday night. Non-participants can purchase lunches and the Saturday night barbecue at an extra cost.
Deposit
Send $50 (non-refundable) deposit with your registration. The balance is due by June 1, 1997. If you cancel before July 1, the refundable portion ($250) will be returned. Sorry, no refunds after July 1, 1997.
