NOTE: Please complete Part Two before going any further.

Part Three

Apparently there has been some confusion about my figures for the scrap mystery quilt. I have revised the figures below for clarification and hope this is helpful. (email is incredibly limiting when trying to give directions and not being able to do figures!) If you do not understand the directions please email me privately, I will try to explain.

Also, remember that you are not limited to *just* six fabrics. I am doing this from my scrap bag and will have only a few units that are the same!

Using the 1/2 yard of light fabric and the 1/4 yard of dark fabric cut the following (or the equivalent scraps from your scrap bag):

dark fabric strips 2-1/2" wide by whatever length (if this comes out of your scrapbag it is whatever length available, if you are cutting from a full piece of fabric is will be approximately 44")

light fabric strips 4-1/2" wide by whatever length (if this comes out of your scrapbag it is whatever length available, if you are cutting from a full piece of fabric is will be approximately 44")

strip piece the light and dark fabrics together so that you have a strip (or several strips) similar to that shown in figure 5

Cut across the seam for pieces that are 2-1/2" x 6-1/2". Press seam towards the dark fabric.

You will need 36 pieces of the configuration shown in figure 6
