SELLING YOUR QUILTS

The quilts for sale by owner page is open to any private party wishing to sell their quilt(s).

Listing your quilts for sale at this site signifies your understanding of the following:

There is no limit on the number of quilts that you may have listed for sale. Acceptable quilts are those in "good" or better condition (see below).

 

The listing of your quilt must include a photo of the full quilt, no partial shots please, unless it accompanies the full photo and is intended to show detail. Quilt photos can be submitted via e-mail by .gif or by snail - mail.

 

A thorough description of your quilt will encourage a quick sale. The listing of your quilt must include a full description of the quilt, including, but not limited to the following:

Pattern

Circa date (if known)

Overall Condition

Excellent = As new, little or no evidence of use - no restoration or evidence of repair.

Very good = Some evidence of use, however no wear or evidence of restoration or repair.

Good = Soft, slight wear, but fabrics remain intact, some evidence of restoration or repair.

Quality and amount of quilting - heavy, moderate, light

Price - please have a price in mind when you list your quilt, the web master cannot make a value judgment on your quilt under any circumstance.

 

There is a small fee for each quilt photo to be scanned and listed on the page, if you have more than one quilt listed at one time, the fee is pro-rated.

 

There is a small commission fee, based on the listing price of your quilt ~ the actual sale is transacted by the private parties involved.

 

Please include a shipping fee when listing your quilt if your desire is to have this paid by the buyer.
