Quilt brings the smartest way to heat and cool your home to Seattle with flagship partner Home Comfort Alliance

Year-round comfort meets local expertise
Seattle, WA

Quilt, the smartest way to heat and cool your home, today announced its official launch in Seattle in partnership with Home Comfort Alliance, the Pacific Northwest’s trusted HVAC contractor. The expansion brings Quilt’s revolutionary home climate system to a market where only 44% of homes have air conditioning and just 6.2% use heat pumps — representing massive growth potential for sustainable, efficient home comfort.

Perfect timing for Seattle’s evolving climate needs

Seattle homeowners face unique climate challenges that make Quilt an ideal solution. Quilt’s 2-zone ductless heat pump, with its industry-leading SEER2 rating of 25 and HSPF2 of 12, delivers 20% more efficiency than average systems while providing year-round comfort that adapts to the Pacific Northwest’s variable weather patterns.

The system’s ultra-quiet operation meets Seattle’s strict sound ordinances at just 50 decibels, while its sleek indoor units — measuring only 7 ⅞ in. tall — fit seamlessly above doors and windows. With customizable white oak or paintable white front covers, Quilt integrates architecturally into Seattle’s diverse home styles.

Smart technology meets local expertise

“Seattle represents everything we believe in at Quilt — forward-thinking homeowners who care about efficiency, design, and the energy transition,” said Paul Lambert, CEO and Founder of Quilt. “Partnering with Home Comfort Alliance gives Puget Sound are residents access to both cutting-edge technology and the local expertise they trust. Together, we’re making it easier than ever for homeowners to move off fossil fuels while gaining unprecedented control over their home comfort.”

Home Comfort Alliance brings decades of Pacific Northwest HVAC expertise to ensure every Quilt installation meets the highest standards. The partnership combines Quilt’s innovative technology with Home Comfort Alliance’s proven track record of customer satisfaction and deep understanding of Seattle's unique climate requirements.

“We’re thrilled to be Quilt’s flagship partner in Seattle,” said Ryan Rastetter, President at Home Comfort Alliance. “Our customers have been asking for a heat pump solution that doesn’t compromise on design or performance. Quilt delivers both, plus intelligent features that automatically save energy when rooms are empty. The response from our first installations has been outstanding — homeowners love that it looks great and works even better.”

Seattle design influencer among first to experience Quilt

Seattle-based home design creator Sabrina Tan (@thesabrinatan) recently became one of the first in the city to upgrade to Quilt, and she will be documenting her installation experience for her audience of design-conscious homeowners.

“You know it’s bad when your son’s room feels like a sauna but the living room feels like a freezer,” said Tan. “That was us. In the summer, it would get so hot, and in the winter, we had to use a space heater. Then I found Quilt, and it’s been such a relief. Now I control each room’s temperature from the app, his room stays comfortable, and our bills have actually gone down.”

Significant savings available now

Seattle homeowners can take advantage of up to $8,400 in combined rebates through Seattle City Light’s heat pump programs and federal tax credits. The utility specifically targets oil heating conversions with instant rebates up to $2,000, making the switch to Quilt’s all-electric system more affordable than ever. There is also a federal tax credit up to $2,000 that expires on December 31, 2025, making now the ideal time to upgrade.

Quilt’s intelligent features deliver ongoing savings through:

  • Room-by-room control that eliminates wasted energy
  • Occupancy detection that adjusts temperatures in empty rooms
  • Real-time energy usage tracking through the Quilt App
