That means every Quilt homeowner now has more comfort and conditioning power at their fingertips without buying new equipment. And for our partners, it means one streamlined system that can handle even more jobs. No new SKUs, no retraining, no warehouse reshuffling.
More power, delivered instantly
Quilt’s outdoor units now deliver up to 24,000 BTU/hr (increased from 19,700) in cooling capacity and 25,200 BTU/hr heating capacity (increased from 20,500). Indoor unit maximum output increased to 12,000 BTU/hr in cooling and 12,600 BTU/hr in heating when both units are running at the same time, unlocking installations in larger rooms.
With this update, Quilt owners will feel the difference right away. Systems will be able to condition rooms more quickly, which means more cooling power as summer comes to a close, and more heating strength as we look towards the cooler months ahead. All enabled automatically, with no action required from the homeowner.

This capacity expansion is part of our bigger promise: Quilt systems improve long after installation. Quilt homeowners frequently go to bed, and wake up to new, automatically installed updates that increase efficiency, add features, refine performance, and unlock new capabilities. This update came directly from our Quilt Certified Partners, who identified that higher-capacity indoor units would better serve homes with larger spaces or unique heating and cooling challenges, allowing them to sell more jobs where Quilt was the right solution. Our engineering team took that feedback and, through rigorous testing and firmware improvements, realized we could expand capacity while maintaining our industry-leading efficiency ratings.
